Italy has returned home from the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang 2018 with ten medals. Our congratulations go to all the athlets who brought the Italian flag up high in the disciplines on snow and ice.

Mapei Sport, which offers its advice to the national alpine ski team from 2001 to today (with an interval from 2010 to 2012), applauds in particular the results obtained by Sofia Goggia and Federica Brignone. The gold medal in free descent and the bronze medal in the giant slalom conquered by the two young champions, who with the rest of the national team entrust themselves to the center of Olgiate Olona (VA) for periodic evaluations in laboratory, has thrilled the staff led by Dr. Claudio Pecci, proud to have in a small part contributed to achieving such prestigious goals.

In the men’s field the result was touched in the free descent by Dominik Paris, fourth. The wooden medal does not repay the hard work done by all the skiers, to whom we wish to rebuild from the next occasions that the season finale offers. At the end of the Korean Winter Olympics, Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) and Mapei Sport have many other objectives to put in the viewfinder.
