More and more sportspeople consume soy, rice, almond, oat, coconut or hemp drinks instead of cow’s milk without knowing that the contribution of these pseudomilks is completely different from the only milk that can be defined as such. Dr. Luca Mondazzi, head of the Sports Nutrition Service and Wellness Dietology of the Mapei Sport Research Center in Olgiate Olona (Va) explains this clearly in this short video: «We must pay attention to our food choices because the nutritional content of what we drink has an important impact on our state of health and on our sporting activity. The proteins content in the milk is a substantial example. A cup of milk of about 250 ml contains 8 grams of high quality protein, in a similar quantity of pseudomilk (with the exception of soy) the grams drop to 1».
