Sport is certainly a beneficial practice for our body, but it exposes to some overload pathologies, tending towards degenerative. Matteo Cervellin, surgeon specialist in orthopedics and traumatology, explains how they can be treated quickly to allow the athlete to return to training and compete as soon as possible. «The most affected tissues are the tendon muscle and the articular cartilage, pathologies very often disabling for the athlete and which if neglected can aggravate up to lead to more serious pathologies. For example, chronic tendinopathies can result in a rupture of a tendon and chondral and osteochondral diseases can lead to early osteoarthritis. To avoid problems of this type, regenerative medicine comes to our aid».
