Through the <strong>Mapei Sport Research Centre<\/strong> in Olgiate Olona \u2013 one of the most authoritative international institutions in the field of sports medicine and the sciences of physical exercise and sport \u2013 Mapei renews its commitment to combining high-level competitive performance with ethical rigour and the training of the next generation. This vision, shared with the <strong>Varese Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> as part of the <strong>Varese Sport Commission<\/strong> project, takes concrete form each year through support for young academic talents capable of bringing innovation to the field of sports science.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Davide Bove, a recent graduate in Sports Science, Technique and Education<\/strong>, has been awarded an extracurricular internship for a research project named in memory of Prof. Aldo Sassi. Dr Bove, who specialises in the field of Exercise Physiology and Sports Science, will focus his research on the topic \u2018Quantification of neuromuscular fatigue in the leg flexor muscles in football\u2019. Thanks to this significant recognition, the young researcher will have the opportunity to carry out a period of analysis and experimentation at the Mapei Sport Research Centre in Olgiate Olona, a facility at the cutting edge of research even on an international level.<\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">The research will be carried out using an extracurricular grant worth 15,000 euros, provided in full by Mapei Sport. <strong>The prize is named in memory of Professor Aldo Sassi<\/strong>, who passed away in 2010 and is still remembered as one of the leading figures in the field of physiology relating to athletic training, as well as a symbol of the fight against doping. This initiative reaffirms the partners\u2019 commitment to promoting scientific excellence, offering new generations of researchers the opportunity to train at the highest level through direct involvement in the centre\u2019s laboratory activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSupporting the achievements and scientific research of our young people means making a tangible investment in the future of the region. The partnership with Mapei Sport, consolidated through the Varese Sport Commission, demonstrates how sport can be a formidable driving force not only economically, but also in terms of cultural growth and academic innovation.
